REFERENDUM CAMPAIGNS

Case Study: Avon Community School Corporation

We partnered with Yes 4 Avon to create seven short testimonial interviews explaining the benefits of funding public schools. The renewal keeps class sizes lower and preserves support for roughly 11,000 students, including 24 K–6 assistants and two school resource officers.

How we helped

Media Services helped support Yes 4 Avon Schools with a successful referendum by producing seven testimonial videos. 64.6% of the community voted to renew the 2018 Operating Referendum. We celebrate what makes Avon special – a community that comes together for its children, its teachers, and its future.

Case Study: Benton Community School Corporation

With a long tradition of pride at Benton Community School Corporation, stakeholders wanted to maintain class sizes and extracurriculars for their community. Since state funding tied to enrollment, we partnered with DehlerPR to create three videos explaining the upcoming referendum.

How we helped

Media Services produced a 3-minute overview explaining why Benton needed an operating levy to avoid a $2 million budget cut. Two additional 30-second spots were promoted through social media. Residents of Benton and Tippecanoe county voted in favor of the referendum in 2020.
